Platform
Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)
Real-Time Intelligence for Every Circuit.

Alectra's GE-powered Advanced Distribution Management System integrates SCADA, Outage Management, and Distribution State Estimation into a single platform giving the Operations Control Centre real-time visibility and automated switching control across the entire 56,000 km distribution network. It enables fault isolation and service restoration in minutes rather than hours, directly improving SAIDI and SAIFI reliability metrics across Alectra's ten communities.

Use Cases
Automated fault isolation and crew dispatch during ice storm events affecting multiple feeders simultaneously across Brampton and MississaugaExecuting normally-open tie switching in ADMS to reroute power to 4,000 customers on a faulted feeder within 90 seconds of fault detectionRunning distribution state estimation scenarios to validate transformer loading at bulk supply stations ahead of summer peak demand periods
